20 Diners who weren't happy with their restaurant experiences: 'This restaurant covered up the "No Tip" option with a sticker to force tipping'

The only thing more annoying than a bad restaurant experience is being prompted to tip 30% as you're paying. As if tipping didn't already have a bad rep, some establishments kindly let you choose between a few tipping options. It used to be 15, 20, or 25 percent, which leads many people to pick 20%, which is a generous tip. But some places realized that if they set the tipping suggestions higher, people might still choose the middle option. Lo and behold, now some places have boxes the customer can choose reading 20, 25, or 30 percent tips. One pizza app even prompted a customer to tip 50%. Fifty percent?! That's so crazy that it must backfire and make customers want to tip even less money. 

These people had some unsatisfactory restaurant experiences that might make them want to leave 1-star reviews. One person found a food sticker in their dish, while another found a bug! Are these signs of fresh-cooked food, or of chefs who aren't doing their jobs? It depends who you ask, but regardless, these folks aren't happy.

    It's not officially a restaurant, but this senior living cafeteria food is pretty rough

    My grandma's lunch at her new senior living residence that's $3K a month. Residents can't go to the dining room to eat because they don't have enough staff so it's deliveries only. is this?!

    The server isn't exactly wrong, but also... yuck

    Bug was in my meal at a nice restaurant and the server explained that it's a good thing, shows you how fresh and organic the food is. My garden is fresh too and I wash my veggies ... and I'm not paying $40/plate for a bug.

    Restaurant took away my food after a few minutes and gave it to somebody else I ordered a carbonara. Since I was the first at the table to get served I waited for a few minutes till my friends got their food. Once they got it the waiter took my plate which I hadn't touched yet (carbonara in picture) and told me it wasn't mine and he had delivered it to the wrong table.     These coins fluctuate in value constantly, but that's what they're worth right now, so… that'd be a nifty tip, if this person kept the coin.
