25 Memes Holding Out for a Hero

If you're like me, you probably first heard that song in the incredible, near-perfect movie Shrek 2, sung by the fairy godmother who was voiced by Jennifer Saunders. And it stayed with you ever since. The chorus echoes in your mind, a plea for something… heroic to come along.

Heroes can take many shapes and forms. They can be the teacher who taught you how to read an analog clock. They can be your cat that saved you from a long spell of sadness. And they are memes that save you from boredom.
