26-year-old plans surprise proposal with girlfriend's best friend, girlfriend ends up accusing them of having an affair: 'It's not what you think!'

Sometimes, plotting and scheming to do something nice for someone can backfire. When you over-plan, the people in your life are going to start to take notice of it. Anxiety and stress manifest themselves physically too, and no one is going to sense that tension more than your significant other. So if you're trying to hide something like a marriage proposal from your partner (like the author of this tale), you might want to take some acting lessons too because you better be giving the best performance of your life to make them not take notice. 

For this dude, he was not exactly able to conceal that he was up to something. Unfortunately, his girlfriend assumed the worst.
