How does one do this? It's the 21st century, we're not taking to violence—we're more evolved than that! A written and signed contract will do. Just as these ladies did! Their bestie was entering a new relationship and they had to meet the guy. This friend, in particular, seems to not have the best track record with past relationships. It seems that her exes were potentially traumatizing, but we are speculating here. Though she does agree with commenters that they were not good.
So her besties showed up not just wary of her new love interest, but also with a legally binding plan. Well… Maybe not legal in the eyes of the government's legal system, but definitely morally binding and puts them at no-fault once they turn on him the second he might hurt their bestie. It's called the “Best Friend Dating Contract” and within it are clauses like “Girls' Night Protection Act,” “Respect & Adoration Clause,” and even a “Netflix Integrity Clause.” The new boyfriend was read, aloud, this entire contract, given a series of interview questions, and then asked to initial and sign the contract.
“Because we take our best friend’s happiness very seriously,” it reads on the top of the contract. This act by these very serious besties was so praised and approved of online, that the contract and interview questions are both now downloadable for free online!
