Welcome, women of the World Wide Web! We all likely know a self-proclaimed "boy mom" – a mother that makes her whole personality about raising her male children. Having a son isn't enough to be considered a boy mom; you can often differentiate them from other parents by the way they excuse their kid's behavior as "boys will be boys."

When these coddled, spoiled children turn into adults, they become entitled and insufferable. Their overbearing moms subconciously do everything they can to make their sons undateable. If their failure to raise an independent man isn't enough to deter potential partners, they might take it into their own hands by becoming a judgemental mother-in-law.

I love when men have a good relationship with their mother – when they clearly respect and love her. Calling your mom who lives in another country every day isn't really a red flag in and of itself, but this guy's relationship with his mom sounds excessive.
