Feline-loving kid forced to surrender her childhood cat, but writes touching letter to potential pawrents to help her get adopted: “I will miss him but if he’s happy, I’m happy”

Happy Monday, feline fam. Do you remember your childhood cat? We do. We remember snuggling with them at night, playing outside with them, and waking up next to them nearly every day until they crossed over the rainbow bridge. We also remember how sad it was when that happened. We felt so lost and hopeless, but we learned two impawtant lessons from it: sometimes things happen that are out of our control, and all we can do is love our pets as much as we can until we can't anymore.

We don't know the circumstances of why the feline-loving kid in this post was forced to surrender her childhood cat, but she was. However, she wrote a terrifically touching letter to any potential pawrents explaining everything she knew about "Bootsie," including her likes, her dislikes, all the nicknames she has, and so much more.     on 7 One more thing about Bootsie is, if he's happy he will drowt so don't worry it's not rabbies! I will miss him but if hes happy im happy.     We care about Bootsie's fate because the child showed us who Bootsie is. We care more intensely and deeply for that which is known. Bootsie isn't just some cat. He's the cat who likes belly rubs under this stripe and heart toys.

  • Honestly, if we saw a cat come with this letter, we would immediately adopt them. To know that this cat was once cared for and loved so deeply would seal the deal without even a second thought.

    From my Bootsie to that Bootsie - I hope he lands on his feet in a good home. I also say "Bootsie is so cutsie". I do occasionally call him "scooter" as I elongate his name to "Bootsie scootsie fresh and tootsie". But boot scoot and boogie is a really cute full name.

  • We're sure Bootsie is going to be adopted in no time. If you're in the area, maybe consider adding Bootsie to your fluffy family? She doesn't get along well with cats, but maybe if you have a doggo friend, it could work. Just saying.
