There are many classic love stories that get retold over and over again and never get old. One of these stories is from the classic 1800s novel Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. Oh my, what a wonderful love story of missed connections and misunderstands. There are the 2005 Keira Knightly fans and the 1995 BBC fans—both groups very different, but both appreciative of the romantic hurtles Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet are put through. Sure, it's about a rich white man eventually getting his way, which we're all annoyed of already. But, really, the story has so much more substance than that! It's not just about two people falling in love, it's about two people having to face their own character flaws and better themselves, even if love would not be the outcome. Luckily, love is the outcome and it is one of the best feel good romance to ever exist. Period. And the hand scene in the 2005 movie?! MAGIC.

  • As you can see, I am a fan of the 2005 version, and I've seen them all and read the books (AND read Pride & Prejudice & Zombies), so the natural next step is to meme about it. Duh. When it comes to romance and Jane Austen, the memes basically make themselves! These characters can be so thick headed and yet, you still fall in love with them. Just like memes!

    indigobluesand I personally find Pride and Prejudice inspirational because Mr Darcy is the most awkward social train wreck of a human being ever created, he's in his thirties and still doesn't know how to talk to girls. But he ends up marrying his crush, an extroverted and very intelligent ten despite her fully hating him for 70% of the book. I respect that
