Sometimes, trying to come up with an educated guess just isn't worth it. Most teachers can tell whether or not a student put the time in to properly prepare for a test or exam, so when it's already blatantly obvious that you don't have a clue what the answer is, you might as well just lean into that truth, right?

Now, there are three types of students. There are students who worked their behinds off and pulled all-nighters to study. For the record, not all of these folks end up doing well on the test, but they certainly tried their hardest. Then, there are the unicorn individuals who have some innate understanding of the material and are naturally smart enough to "fake it till you make it." These students are admirable, but occasionally infuriating. 

Finally, there are folks who didn't have time to study or didn't care to find the time. We hold no judgment for these students. In fact, the ones who embrace that they don't know what to say are perhaps the ones we can't help but admire the most. After all, if you're going to fail, you might as well fail gloriously.
