27-year-old goes no contact with entitled mom and sister after they try to take the money he saved for a house: 'That money is mine!'

Sometimes, you have no other choice but to go no contact. Ideally, drawing permanent boundaries with someone is ideal for both parties. If you need to do this with a former partner or with a friend, it's often for the best. As difficult as it may seem, cutting someone off is not actually that challenging if you really want or need to get it done. 

At one point in time, I needed to redefine boundaries in a friendship, and while the conversation itself was painful, it was almost shocking how straightforward the aftermath was. I assumed it would be difficult to interact with this person in group settings after our friendship breakup, but the truth of the matter was that we rarely had to endure these interactions at all. 

Of course, I know how lucky I was not to have permanent ties with this person. If they were a family member, it would have been far more challenging to go no contact. Unfortunately for this 27-year-old, he still needed to move forward with it.
