There's such a dreamlike quality to Studio Ghibli. It's really one of a kind studio making such beautiful movies. Everything from the animation, characters, plot lines, and soundtracks are impeccable. My favorite will always be Howl's Moving Castle because it was the first I saw at a very formative age.

A Moving Castle of Miyazaki Art for Anime Girls Who Grew Up on Studio Ghibli
Welcome, anime lovers. Studio Ghibli is one of the most popular studios for producing anime in our lifetime. There's something so whimsical about Miyazaki's movies. The animation has its own unique flair, the characters are so wholesome and unlike any of the characters in other anime. Anime is usually known for its violence, action, sci-fi elements, male-dominated characters, and the females being ditzy and vapid. Something I love about Studio Ghibli is that they don't do anything like that in their films. It's as if Disney and traditional anime had a baby – it has a softness and innocence to it. There are plenty of strong, female characters, and there's a childlike wonder about them, amongst adult themes.
When I saw Howl's Moving Castle at 12-years-old, I felt like it changed my life. It let me experience a different realm of imagination that I didn't know I could access. Everything from the slowness of the plot, the adorable characters, and the picturesque aesthetic kept me in awe while watching it. Not to mention that Howl was obviously one of my first crushes. So enjoy these artsy anime photos from the genius of Studio Ghibli.
