SayElloToDaBad Guy 13h ago Seems too me like you have already made your mind up too take the big boi and are just looking for someone to tell you it's ok. Take him numb nuts. :)

reddit466. 14h ago You should definitely take him. Sounds like you could easily get him in a carrier.

FleksMeks · 14h ago Take him with you. He can adjust to a new space, but he'll never understand why you left. He clearly chose you as his pet parent and would just end up confused and sad if you left him behind

kkmcgee ⚫ 13h ago I understand the dilemma of not wanting to take him away from the complex that's he's been living around for so many years, some cats truly are feral and cannot become indoor pets. I don't think that's the case here.

He's allowed you to pet him, he trusts you enough to sleep around you (I have a semi-feral rescue and it took him like 2 years to sleep deeply around me), he treats your home as his own, and he even plays with your dogs. He is now your cat, take him with you!

Lifeboatb 13h ago • he might try to run back to the old place, but it still seems like you need to take him. Can you transition him to being an indoor cat? Except maybe he could still go for the walks, once he's learned the new territory.

PeaceloveandLex 13h ago . Please tell me you are taking him the apartment complex isn't his home you are!

Bd-cat 13h ago • Please take him, and don't freak out if he needs a bit of time to adjust and please make him fully indoor. Some cats may need even a couple of months to get used to a move but don't let that make you think it wasn't right for him.

If he is as attached to you as you say, losing you will cause him a lot of grief. He's already shown comfort being indoors so that's great, and making sure he's indoor full time protects him from

all sorts of dangers (other animals, diseases, illness, cars, humans) even if you think letting him outside is "fun". Just make sure he has indoor enrichment.
