A dad was happy to pay for flights for his teenage daughter so she could attend a summer school in another country on a scholarship. While her experience was good, she ran into travel delays on the way back, which led to her being stuck at the airport for nearly 24 hours.
Angry at her uncomfortable experience, she spent months contacting the airline in an attempt to get compensation. She eventually got a refund for the flight, which her dad insisted on taking in full. However, he wondered if he had done something wrong when she expected a share of the money.
