'No one wants him': Animal shelter warns cat mom against adopting "ugly" and "shy" kitten, she defies them and now the two are living in purrfect harmony

Here at I Can Has Cheezburger, we have a soft spot for all kinds of cats. From pirate kitties to three-legged cats, we love them all without any sliver of doubt. Yes, even the "ugly" ones. To us, there is no such thing as an ugly cat. All cats are beautiful and worthy of love, from the majestic maine coons to smol, scraggly kitten we found stuck in a sewer. Also, if you look at some before and after pictures of cats after getting adopted, you would be surprised how much a little love can improve the way your cat looks.

So, when this cat mom went to the animal shelter and tried to adopt the "shy" and "ugly" cat that she wanted, we honestly think she deserves a round of appaws. The shelter tried to dissuade her, to warn her, saying that this cat was not worth it. Well, did she prove them wrong! She adopted the "ugly" kitten, and now the two are living in purrfect harmony.     Employee asked me "do you reeeealllly want to wait the 30 minutes to see him? This is his third shelter and no one wants. him because he is shy and ugly" how ride! I love him and he has not stopped purring and kneading since getting home! He gives lots of kisses poor little guy!

  • Ugly? That kitten is absolutely adorable! Who in their right mind would think that this cat is “ugly”? He's going to be a real charmer in a few months, just you wait and see. Some good wet food, a nice, comfy bed, and some hooman snuggles will work wonders.

  • This is true! We adopted the “shy” cat once at a shelter. She just didn't do well in a shelter environment. Once we got her home, she opened up like a can of tuna, and she was the chattiest cat we've ever had the pleasure of living with.
