In this job market, hearing you're about to lose your job can feel like the end of the world. You've got limited time to find your next role and make ends meet simultaneously, all the while trying to leave your former place of work on good terms. Why would you wanna do that? Well, they're the ones who might have the last say in the next role you'll land (and if you'll land the role at all). That seems pretty backward, I know. But that's the way the job cookie crumbles.
