You love your kids more than anything you ever thought possible and you are doing your best to stay patient and caring. That is SO friggin' hard, especially since these kids are wired to test you boundaries, since their brains are trying to figure out how to be independent. You're all like, "don't climb the counters to get a snack, tell mommy or daddy and we'll get it for you." And then 10 seconds later you see them climbing the counters to get a snack… You want them to learn their lesson, but you also don't want them to hurt themselves. Parenting is just a sequence of learning moments for everybody involved.
