Petty 27-year-old man abruptly breaks up with 25-year-old girlfriend after he surprises her with a nonrefundable $800 date that she can’t make: “This is why I hate surprises”
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. Dating these days is tougher than it's ever been. There's a logical fallacy that there are "so many options" out there, and when someone does one thing wrong, it could be the thing to end your relationship. And all these people saying there are "so many options" out there are well into their 30s and 40s without any prospects of finding someone. So if there are tons of options out there, why are you old and still single?
It's the dating era of red flags, ghosting, and the absolute inability to communicate properly. Everyone has their own agenda, and with the touch of a button one could find a potential date, or even just a text, forsaking the interest they had in the person before. It's a scary world for singles right now, and I personally believe that it's only going to get worse, not better.
In the story below, the protagonist is a man who has been dating his girlfriend for a year, and he said that things are going really well. He plans an elaborate $800 dinner for them, and schedules it on a Wednesday without realizing it's not a good day for her. Read the full story for all the juicy details.
