The 90s – a time when self-deprecation was as trendy as flannel and crimped hair. Quite an indelible decade filled with a mania of cultures. From pop music like Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys, to the development of grunge music like Nirvana, the 90s gave the people what they wanted and more. Even in the fashion you can sense the fluid uniqueness. Celebrities like Gwen Stefani of No Doubt trailblazer certain styles like pink hair, full midriff on display, and bhindis for an everyday look. And you can't call it cultural appropriation because that didn't exist in the 90s! Plus her ex-boyfriend's mother gave it to her, so there. 

The 90s will forever be eternalized in our hearts and minds through memories, mix CDs, old crimp irons we'll never use again, temporary butterfly tattoos from pizza arcade vending machines, and Tamagotchi's. As a 90s girl myself, I grew up on all the famous Disney princess movies, and I can still sing all the songs. Lisa Frank made going back to school cool, and the lack of smart phones afforded us the skillset of socializing and bicycle riding.
