Having an indoor-outdoor cat is always a calculation, it's always a risk. And sure, there are the obvious risks of the cat running away, the cat getting lost, the cat getting hurt, but these are not the risks we are talking about. Having an indoor-outdoor cat might mean that your cat… could have a summer vacation home. Your cat will be visiting your neighbors on a regular basis, your cat might adopt a second family under your nose, your cat may cause mayhem in the neighborhood, and you will only find out about it in retrospect.

Usually, these interactions are funny. Harmless. But not always. Cats… their behavior is, for the most part, predictable. Neighbors, on the other hand, not so much. And an interaction that you think is entirely pawsitive and harmless can turn into something vastly different very, very quickly. Just like it did in this story. Be careful with who you let around your cats, guys, because not everyone has pure intentions.

Um… no. No on so, so many levels. We hope the husband just made a tiny miscalculation here and changed his mind once he realized his neighbors might be insane, but either way… they're insane. You have to keep these cats away from these people at all costs.
