This story is a lot like my life in that I don't understand how anything in it makes sense, but, although it's weird, I mostly enjoy it and find it very amusing. Here it goes:

Office life is fertile ground for creative excuses, but one marketing company saw the birth of a legend when Travis, a bland but slippery employee, decided to bypass the traditional sick day. Instead, Travis debuted his alter ego, "Trevor," a twin in the loosest sense, distinguished only by a thrift-store beanie and a pair of glasses that screamed low-effort Clark Kent. Whenever meetings came around, Travis was mysteriously ill, yet "Trevor" just happened to be wandering the break room, pretending that avoiding eye contact and mumbling his name was a personality.

Colleagues watched this amateur improv spectacle unfold, equal parts disbelief and entertainment, as Trevor started appearing at random, contributing nothing but awkwardness and the vague scent of someone who absolutely should not be on payroll. The charade hit its comedic peak when HR, tipped off about a mysterious non-employee, launched an "investigation" and promptly discovered that Trevor was just Travis with a new hat and less accountability. No elaborate backstories, no evil twin drama, just a man and his undying commitment to not attending meetings.

Travis earned more than a write-up. He became the punchline for every future act of office avoidance. "Pulling a Trevor" now lives on in this company's lore, invoked every time someone mysteriously vanishes from a Zoom call or is "seen" picking up bagels instead of brainstorming.
