There's nothing wrong with being the breadwinner or lower earner. What matters is that you both are on the same page about finances and what you're bringing to the table financially and otherwise. What other people think about your arrangements doesn't mean anything—and if your in-laws have something nasty to say about it, then you know to give them the boot.
