Photographer gets mixed up at a wedding and has a photoshoot with the wrong groom's party, wholesomeness ensues: 'Boys don't ask questions. Boys just pose.'

Planning a wedding is chaotic for everyone involved, including the wedding parties. So when one of the respective wedding parties has no idea what is supposed to be going on, things can get extra messy. However, as long as everyone is patient and in good spirits, things can still smooth out even with bumps in the road. 

 

Take, for example, this wedding photographer who got a little confused on their way to photograph the grooms party. They found a group of men in suits getting ready for a wedding in the building they were supposed to be in, so they assumed that was their group. They went and did an entire photoshoot with them, as they were hired to do. Then they went to photograph the bride. After a little while with the bride, a man came up to them and asked when they were going to photograph the groomsmen… Turns out that man was the groom and she had photographed the wrong group.

  • Instead of becoming a bridezilla over this, the party laughed about it and they got to taking the correct photos. It turned out to be a silly story that they got to cherish from their wedding day. The bride even went as far as to find the other groomsmen from the other party and get the “mistake” photos to them for free. Pretty wholesome!

  • Dysan27 Boys will also play while bored. I still think the most brilliant thing the photographer at my friends wedding did was bring a football to the photoshoot. Separate outdoor location from the wedding and reception. Nothing was stage, nothing was planned. But while the bride and bridesmaids where having their photos taken he casually tossed the football at one of us, then went and focused on the women.

I asked the onsite coordinator of a place that was new to me where the groom and his party were and she pointed me towards a room with a bunch of young guys, so I set the bouts down and thought I'd delivered them...but when I asked who was the groom and they said he wasn't there yet I very luckily asked when would

  • "Bob" be back and they were like: who's Bob? Confusion, retreat, then I found the other groom and his party in yet another getting ready room, so no real harm or foul. Lesson learned: groomsmen are often totally clueless and mention names early on to all involved!
