"My house, my rules": 30-year-old boyfriend forbids his 37-year-old girlfriend from letting her dog sleep on furniture in "his" house, so she moves out and he tries to control her and her pooch there too

One thing a man is certainly not going to do is tell us what we're allowed to do with our doggo. The first thing we tell any person about to enter into a relationship with us is this one, simple fact: we will always choose the dog over you. Sorry, not sorry. They were our first love, they've been with us through more than you probably will, and they can sleep wherever they want to - including in our beds. If you don't like it, you know where the door is.

The girlfriend in this post really accommodated her non-dog loving boyfriend's rules - way better than we would have. He didn't like the dog on the furniture or in bed, and technically, it was his house. She followed his rules. But when she decided to move out to give herself and her doggo more freedom, the boyfriend still wanted to control what her precious pooch could and couldn't do in her house. So girl, if you won't say it, we'll say it for you, "Thank you, next."

We would have ended it right there and then. We simply couldn't live with a person who didn't accept that our dog was allowed everywhere. You have never experienced peak cuteness until you've woken up next to your doggo while they're still sleeping peacefully. It's truly one of life's simple pleasures.
