There is a reason some couples request child-free weddings. It may sound kind of cruel on paper, but in reality, it might be the thing that saves you from a major wedding disaster. Kids are unpredictable. Some of them are awesome and great at dealing with long, boring events where they have to wear fancy clothes that probably fit too tight. The vast majority of them, though, will cause some sort of chaos in this situation. It's really up to the parents to put out these fires as they happen. 

If you're bringing your kids to a wedding, it's on you to make sure that they are behaving correctly. You must be vigilant because it's not your day. It's somebody else's, and odds are they put a lot of money and effort into making it their perfect day. You would hate for your kids to jeopardize that in any way.

Your sister's first dance is getting interrupted and instead of hauling your kids away you're 1: letting them do it, and 2: taking pictures of it! Your son burns himself (because of your negligence of teaching safety) and you're taking pictures to post. I'd hate to be her kid...

We had fancy lights shining onto the floor that he was trying to play with so close to us I was worried about stepping/ tripping over him. My friend sat a few feet away and won't do anything because it was "too cute". It's been a decade since and I'm still annoyed.

    been sent to a hospital ER and and not just got in a basic bandage from EMT. Source: | work with the burn and plastics physicians and nurses at a major level trauma hospital. So this screams main character syndrome who enjoys stealing any spot like that isn't on her.
