Girlhood is a spectrum. 

Sometimes we're ethereal beings like Galadriel, floating along the leaf-speckled forest floors of Lothlórien, spouting cryptic futures like a witchy, fairy goddess. Other times, we're barefoot and rummaging through the briarfields, looking for the glasses we dropped in the deep grass so we can continue reading our favorite book in the shade of a 1000-year-old oak tree. Alas, many of us are more hobbitly than elves, and I'd reckon that the stews we cook are far more delicious than those of Eowyn, princess of the horse people of Rohan.

For the more glamorous gals out there, a life in Hobbiton may be too drab or communal. The shared feasts and riotous nights at the Green Dragon rarely suit the uppity types. But for those of us who relish a savory plate of cheese in lieu of a delicate one-bite dessert, hobbit life would suit just fine. In fact, I'd throw out life in the real world altogether if it meant I could cosplay as the dearest Rosie Cotton of the Shire, awaiting the return of my future husband, Samwise Gamgee.
