We all want to fit in. When we're children or adolescents, this feeling is especially present. Children want to fit in because they're so young that they know little else. They lack the sense of self enough to handle life without the acceptance of their peers. It also functions as a base for learning socially acceptable behavior, social mores, and other societal factors. Teenagers are different. Teenagers are engrossed with their own selfish sphere of being accepted because their whole identity is constantly at a crossroads. If there's one thing I don't envy, it's being an insecure teenager that's just looking for approval all the time from other people. 


Not everyone becomes popular, and not everyone has real, genuine friendships either. In the story below, it might be one of these two situations, but you'll have to read the full story to find out exactly. In the story below, the protagonist thought she was going on an innocent girl's trip, no strings attached. It turns out there were other motives involved.
