The husband in the story below is at least determined to understand his wife's side, so maybe he is not as lost of a cause as my husband. But keep scrolling to read the full story to decide for yourselves.

37-year-old husband eats wife's birthday cake after a week of it being left uneaten, only for wife to get upset he didn't leave her anything: ‘The cake was right there...’
Every couple has the person who eats all the leftovers and snacks before their partner even thinks about eating some themselves. Some couples handle this conflict better than others; they would split the food between the two, or decide how long one has to wait before they can finish the snack they are after.
My husband and I are still struggling with that, to be completely honest with you. The only way I get to enjoy snacks at my own pace is if I specifically buy stuff I know for a fact my husband does not like. Otherwise, I know I have about two days to enjoy something before it is completely gone. It's not a perfect solution, but we manage.
Whenever I get mad that my husband finished something I also wanted to eat, he gets apologetic and offers to buy it again. And even though I appreciate the offer, that is not why I got mad in the first place, and I believe that wife in the story below will understand where I am coming from.
It's the thought that counts, and when he eats something and finishes it, he is definitely not thinking of me, and that is quite annoying.
