There are some life events that parents should avoid missing at all costs. The usual suspects on this list include weddings, important birthdays, and, of course, graduations. Frankly, a decent parent better have a great excuse as to why they would miss their kid's graduation. After all, you went through all that trouble helping your kid get into school in the first place, walking them through their academic and social challenges, and potentially helping to pay tuition for them. Why would you want to miss their graduation?

This high school graduate found out that her entitled mother skipped out on the big ceremony in the worst way possible: via social media. It was as if she were dealing with a frenemy her own age, but no, this was her own mom. This lady promised that she'd make it to the big event, but when the day finally arrived, she decided that it was more important to get her lashes done at the local salon.
