Shelter posts heartbreaking video of a dog crying before he's scheduled to be put down, one woman on TikTok sees it and races over to rescue him: ‘Not on my watch… I'm going to get him!’

Social media is constantly ridiculed for its evil properties. And, yes, it definitely has darkness too it. But just like everything in the universe, it aims for balance. And with darkness, you must also have light. So, not everything on the internet is evil. Take, for example, all the pawdorable animal content we're constantly fishing up for you all.

This week is a great week for dog lovers. Not all shelters have the capacity to keep dogs indefinitely, and, heartbreakingly, some are put down to make room for others. It hurts to even type that, but that's the reality of it. However, social media came to the rescue of one sweet pup recently who was just a night away from the unthinkable!

One of the shelter volunteers posted a video on their social media that broke the heart of viewers. It showed this pup whimpering with sadness the night before he was scheduled to be put down. It got thousands of views, but it was one woman who took action. She saw that video and literally said, “not on my watch!” She then drove two hours and rescue the lil bubby.

Now he is in her foster care and up for adoption. And guess what? Social media is helping him get lots of interest too! We're sure this good boy is going to be with a furever family very soon. He's one lucky dog!
