 There are certain games that latch onto our spirit and never let go. For me, I'll never forget one of the first games I ever loved, PlayStation 2's Return of the King. Maybe it's a cop-out to love a LOTR game, I admit it, but slashing down orcs, climbing the towers of Minas Tirith and storming the Black Gate, all while playing a co-op game with my sister, is the best memory from my childhood. 

For many of us, our gaming years started back when we were little, cementing dexterity, controller muscle-memory, and gaming logic in our minds from an early age. Is that door a little funky-looking compared to the other graphics? Try to open it. Does that rock over there shimmer a little brighter than the others? Loot. Funnily enough, these are all instincts that are forged by our very first games. So, whether you have hours upon hours to play your favorite video games or you're lucky to catch 45 minutes online at the end of a hard week, never forget that you'll always be a gamer at your core.

 Because gaming never truly leaves you, it's just waiting for you to log back in after a hiatus.
