If you've ever planted wildflowers, you know they're almost too easy to grow. Just toss the seeds, give them a little sun and the occasional sprinkle of water, and you're blessed with instant cottagecore vibes. My family always had a wildflower patch in the backyard to attract bees to help pollinate our vegetable garden. They were beautiful and low maintenance, but we quickly learned they're also wildly invasive. If left unchecked, they'll pop up in places they were never invited.

One local farmer learned that lesson the hard way and paid for it, quite literally. Roughly 40 years ago, this guy decided to stiff a group of laborers by only paying them half of what they were owed. Then, just to make sure things couldn't end amicably, he threatened to report them to the authorities. The people he crossed didn't forget, and they didn't forgive either. Not long after, wildflowers started sprouting across his farmland in massive quantities, costing him thousands to clean up. And they just kept coming back. For decades.
