We think that it is a well-known fact at this point that cats are the ones who adopt their humans and not the other way around. Sure, you think that you walking into a shelter means that you get a choice, but you do not. You may go in thinking that you're going to adopt a kitten but instead end up leaving with a senior cat instead. You may think that you chose to adopt that kitten that jumped out in front of your car, but in fact, it was written in the stars that said kitten would adopt you.

That is exactly what happened to the man in this story. He didn't think he wanted a kitten, he didn't plan on getting a kitten, but a kitten was given to him nonetheless - by the cat distribution system. Out of nowhere, he came across a kitten so covered in mud that she could not even see. He took her to the vet because that was the right thing to do, and by the time that he left, she was already his.

It's true - sometimes we don't know how much we need a cat until we actually have one. That has happened to a lot of the cat owners that we know. Out of nowhere, one day, they got adopted, and that is it - there was no turning back. Life has changed forever.

And we can just tell that she is going to be a little hooligan. It's in the face. We know just by looking that she is going to be a smart kitty and that she is going to use those smarts to outsmart you at every opportunity that she gets. Life will never be boring again. Say thank you.
