Have you ever saved up a bunch of money for a friend's birthday gift, a Mother's Day present, or a slew of Christmas knick-knacks for your special someone? If you have, then you know how rewarding it is to realize that your hard-earned money is going toward something for someone you love. Sure, buying a new Nintendo Switch 2 for yourself can feel pretty darn good, but it pales in comparison to the look on your loved ones' faces when you gift them something they wanted so dearly.
Sometimes, you might drop the ball. Wait—scratch that. You didn't do anything. If a loved one realizes that you've saved every penny and nickel to get them something you deemed worthwhile and they are ungrateful for it, that speaks to their character, not yours.
In this next story, a 17-year-old kid decides to save up money to take his immediate family on a vacation to Destin, Florida. They had a hotel picked out and just needed to pay for it, so they told their mother about the plans. Instead of excitement, she met her child with ungratefulness and said they should go to Disney World instead. Not only is that not what the teen planned for their family, but it is also likely way more expensive. Now, the teen wants to tell her to take a hike. Scroll below to read the entire story, including the excuses their mother makes for her entitled behavior.
