Entitled mother-in-law throws tantrum after learning that her granddaughter isn't named after her: 'After all I have done for this family, you couldn’t even name one child after me?'

Imagine having the blind confidence of this mother-in-law! She showed at the hospital where her son and daughter-in-law just had their first baby, waltzed right into the room, and started calling the kid by her own name. That's right. She assumed that if the child were a girl, they would naturally name the kid after her. 

There are some shocking expectations that relatives can develop when they start experiencing "grandkid fever." Sure, we talk a lot about baby fever and how relationships can evolve as a result, but not enough people acknowledge the entitlement and audacity of parents and in-laws when they start applying pressure to their adult children to start families. It's not that starting a family can't be a beautiful thing, but one must know oneself, one's needs, and one's capabilities before making such monumental life decisions. What if it's not financially feasible? What if it doesn't make sense given the demands and schedule of one's career? It's not exactly fair to have a child to appease a future grandparent or to raise that child in a way that's most convenient and appealing to them. 

This new mom had to rein in her entitled mother-in-law without a lot of help from her husband!
