Nanny finds a baby possum on her morning walk, wraps it in a diaper, and becomes its mom for the day; possum ends up growing up in a wildlife preserve: 'I swaddled him and put him in the cupholder'

Baby animals have a way of melting our hearts, especially for people with an overdeveloped caregiver mentality. This nanny, a woman flooded with maternal instinct, was the lucky first responder to a downed baby possum. Likely fallen from the back of its mother, this baby critter was saved by the likes of the perfect animal mother: A human nanny on a walk with one of the kids in her care.
