Quiet neighbor unintentionally becomes the apartment building's go-to tech guy, starts to love it even though he's fully 'winging' it: ‘Weirdly, it makes me feel... less alone?'

When this quiet guy moved into a large apartment complex, he didn't think he would be the neighborly type. He figured he'd keep to himself and live his life. However, one day he helped the elderly woman across the hall reconnect to the wifi and she was so happy, she told all the neighbors he was tech-savvy. Now, he constantly has neighbors coming to him with tech questions. At first he couldn't believe it and was worried it would get annoying. But it turns out, he loves it. The tasks are simple and, even though he says he's completely "winging" it, he is able to research enough to figure out every problem. Now he actually enjoys being the IT guy for the apartment complex and getting paid in baked goods and party invitations. 

 

He never thought being good at navigating Google, Reddit, and YouTube would be something that helps him become part of a wholesome community.
