Look, there are some people out there who are simply… incompatible. And sad as it may be for the people involved, at the end of the day, the sooner you figure it out, the better. Maybe the boyfriend is being entitled here, thinking that his dog should be allowed to live there right away, but there is also something to be said about the girlfriend setting rules and expecting them to be followed because it's “her house”. That may be true, but you're inviting him to live there, making it his home too, and that means that compromises have to be made. But since that cannot seem to happen here, from either side, we think ending it might be the easiest solution.
