This is pretty dang wild to see with the perspective we have on modern day shooting techniques. To think that this scene today would have been handled by a drone, or in the most manual case a single cameraman with a stabilizer. Heck, Marty might have even been given a GoPro to wear if this was shot today.

Part of the magic of these old films is how they used all sorts of physical tricks to make us believe almost anything. Today, this shot would have been made 100% using computer generated images. But back in the 80s, you made a tiny model, set it on fire and shot from the roof of a car to make it look like you shot it from a helicopter.
