  • My boyfriend and I recently got engaged in May, and when we were announcing it our families and friends, my fiancé had informed me that his twin brother told him that he had to purchase a ring for his girlfriend "so she would shut up". This resulted in his brother proposing just 3 days after we did.
  • My fiancé's brothers girlfriend has always been in a competitive headspace when it came to my fiancé and I, for like the last 7 years. It's like anything we did, they had to do the same and make it better. Long story short,
  • she and I have like a 10 year age gap. The most we really have in common is the fact that we are both with twin brothers, and we both have daughters who are just 7 months apart in age. (She got pregnant after finding out I was pregnant, literally asked me "wouldn't it be fun if we were pregnant together" after finding out I was). The relationship

  • between us has always been pretty vague, I've always been nice but she's always had more of a "cater to me" kind of personality. However, my relationship with the other twin was definitely influential to her in various ways.

  • Fast forward now in August, they are getting married next week and practically everyone was invited via hand delivered invites, except for my fiancé and I. Funny thing is, the twins both work together and not once did his brother mention this very near event. Turns out, my fiancés brother and his future wife tried to plan this entire wedding secretly, and my fiancé's brothers

  • girlfriend has went as far as telling those invited to not to say anything about them getting married to us, which backfired because the twins mom, along with other family members and the twins childhood friends spilled the beans immediately.
  • When we received the news we were more like, wow that is fast! But I was more focused on why wasn't my fiancé invited when they have quite a bond as twins. Additionally, me being the person that I am- I sent them over an edible arrangement as a congrats gift, and a card that stated we're happy for them.
  • After the gift was received, my fiancés brother immediately texted him and told him that they didn't like our gift and that they didn't like card. My fiancé strongly believes it was his brother's girlfriend who texted that and not his brother because who would be upset over chocolate strawberries and cookies.

  • I think she was hoping we'd be p ed about not being invited, but instead we're just wishing them well and she can't stand it?
  • • Certain-Thought531 8h ago Some people are addicted to drama and conflict and would strive to create some where there's none. Honnestly this is ridiculous, but I wonder how would it be possible that no one actually noticed the pattern so far, I mean you say it's been 7 years...
  • I suppose it's easier to pretend everything's fine, but honnestly had I been in your fiance shoes I'd be ped by now.

  • TheQuarantinian · 8h ago . Dear future sister in law. Thank you so much for not inviting us. Now we don't. have to buy you a gift and will be spending the money on the honeymoon of our dreams, the likes of which you cannot imagine. Will send photos after we get back.
  • Pudwas 7h ago OP should let it be known that her honeymoon is a four week trip around Europe, taking in Rome in Italy, Paris. & Cannes, France, plus Skiing in Swiss Mountain Resort of St. Moritz.
  • Then enjoy twin brothers fiancé forcing him to outdo that. When own honeymoon comes round just enjoy whatever they were going to do originally (with warm glow that twin brothers wife probably didn't enjoy her own honeymoon having to spend money hey probably hadn't got.
