‘Our social media accounts are our private accounts’: Obsessive coworker demands all colleagues accept her Facebook friend requests, then cyberstalks them to the point of being blocked

Social media has made it exceptionally easy to find everyone you know in real life—this includes those pesky coworkers who keep asking you to hang out off the clock. The employee in this next story decides not to mix business and pleasure, much to their obsessive coworker's detriment. At the end of the day, work is work, and the employee dodges a major obstacle when they realize their coworker is chronically online.

The digital age can be very unforgiving, especially if you want to be a private person online. That phrase is, unfortunately, very oxymoronic because nothing is private once you plaster your face on the internet, even if you decide to have a private account. Someone knows someone else who follows you, then your biggest enemy has all eyes on whatever you do in your daily life.

Befriending coworkers is something to think about very carefully before going through with it. Those silly excuses you used to have the day off?
