‘Jokes on her… [I’ve] never been happier!': Senior supervisor gets the boot only 2-weeks after college student coworker reports her for online trolling, learns harsh lesson on following colleagues on social media

A college girl works at a small convenience store to make some cash as she studies. To make it easier to switch shift with coworkers and see what days are open for extra work, etc., she's encouraged by other colleagues to follow them on Facebook to join a chat where these kinds of work things can be discussed. However, in doing this, all of her coworkers can also see her personal posts. Not that big of a deal, right? Wrong. You never know who is secretly a troll until that troll finds you online. This troll turned out to be one of her supervisors. This woman had been a supervisor there for years, but had been complained about before for online behavior. She, apparently, started commenting disrespectful things on a personal post of this college student coworker and even offended her friends online. The college student immediately blocked her, but not before taking a screenshot of the entire thread of disrespect and sending it to her higher ups. The next day she submitted a formal complaint as well, and only two weeks later, the senior supervisor who had been there for years was let go. If you're going to be a troll, maybe don't use your real name and have your place of employment for everyone to see…

  • It can be a dark dark world out there that ruins your faith in humanity all the time, but it's not just reality that cultivates that, it's also online. So maybe just stick to animal rescue videos on line and skip friending the coworkers…
