When someone is gracious enough to allow you to stay in their home for free, the least you can do is cover (or at least offer) other expenses. 

For example, whenever my sister comes to town, my husband and I welcome her into our home and let her sleep in the guest room. It's a great setup; she doesn't have to pay for Airbnb, and in return, she usually buys us dinner and even makes sure that our fridge is full of groceries before she leaves. While it's not a requirement (even though it should be, if you ask me), it is definitely the right thing to do.

Unfortunately, not everyone thinks so, especially not the woman in the story below. She has no problem taking over her cousin's apartment every time she visits London, and leaving without so much as a 'Thank you' for the free accommodation. She even emptied her cousin's fridge and took her half-eaten cereal box with her. Talk about entitlement…
