Entitled customer refuses to wait 20 minutes while the diner's system is down, so the manager kicks her out: 'We’re closed. Thank you, bye now!'

Always be careful about disrespecting the people who serve your food! They can be the difference between you having a satisfactory dining experience and you not even getting your food at all.

This entitled customer was specifically told that things were running slowly in the local diner today after their system stopped working. Tons of customers' orders were backed up and it would be at least 20 minutes before this customer would get her food. She was specifically told this before she sat down at a table out of transparency. Sure, that's frustrating news to receive if you're starving, but wouldn't you rather know that something's going on before you commit to waiting endlessly for your food? 

The author of this anecdote was another customer who was in no rush and spent the time catching up with a friend at another table. Of course, not everyone has all the time in the world to wait until the diner's system recovers, but that's what the transparent disclaimer was for. Unfortunately, this entitled lady took offense to the comment and used it as an opportunity to throw a tantrum at the server and the entire restaurant's incompetence. Thankfully, that's when the manager stepped in to set the record straight.

  • This server was lucky enough to have a manager who was willing to take their side and double down. In fact, when the customer said that they might as well close the restaurant while the system is down, he decided to take her up on that suggestion. That's when the manager decided to close the restaurant just to the entitled customer in order to get her to leave.
