Introverts are far too familiar with discomfort. Overstimulated and under-caffeinated, it seems that every social interaction you're trying to avoid plops right in your lap when you're the least equipped, leaving an introvert's social battery running on fumes. Seemingly, with their social energy tank on "E" for the last decade and a half, there's only one refuge that can revert your inner introvert: Going home early.
There's nothing more delicious or wonderful than the feeling of entering your own private space after being out in public too long. At home, the likelihood of running into a high school acquaintance is low, and the probability of getting cornered into a "quick chat" with your boss is 0%. We introverts love those odds.
So don't roll the dice on your wellbeing and prioritize a chill solo moment. Because you never know when your next breather of peace and solitude will hit, but you do know that it will be oh-so-glorious when it does.
