'The judge actually congratulated me': Boss forces full-time employee to sign a freelance contract, then fires them illegally seven months later, employee gathers all the evidence to win in court

How many times did something happen to you that made you think, "I could actually sue these people for what happened to me"? And how many times did you actually follow through and act towards justice?

We're going to guess that the answer to the former question is a lot, and the answer to the latter is never. We often tend to let many things slide, even if we know we deserve much better. We don't want the hassle of actually fighting for justice, and kind of like goldfish, we tend to forgive and forget pretty quickly.

So when someone finally stands up for themselves and fights for what is rightfully theirs, they deserve a standing ovation. Or in our case, a story that covers their success.

This employee knew that her employer was exploiting her from day one, but for seven months, she let it all slide. But when they decided to illegally fire her, she knew she had to fight back.
