Some people are funny by nature. You know the type of person I'm talking about. Anytime you're around them, you're laughing your head off, no matter what they're doing. Maybe they're intending to be funny, or maybe they're not, but what matters is that you're throwing your head back every time they open their mouth. These are the types of people who were just born that way. They were the class clowns. They were the ones cutting up in the back of the class. You can't teach that type of funny.

And then there are the people who work at it. Maybe they were the quiet ones in school, but their heads were full of ideas. And when you get to know them, they're actually really funny. I find that on Twitter, the people who do the best are the ladder kinds of people. They've had to work at being funny, so it appears on paper. They don't have the luxury of charisma and charm, so they have to put in the heart skills. Charisma and charm don't read on Twitter anyway, unless you're Cher
