'I promise time is more important than the $10 delivery fee': Tech bro insists everybody should save 50-100 hours a year grocery shopping online so they can work more

I will be the first to hold my hands up and say that I am firmly in the camp of being a grocery store enjoyer. I know it may not be the most practical or financially sensible way to go about acquiring groceries, but I find myself taking a trip to a store for an item or two almost every single day. All the shops in my neighborhood, both big and small, have been visited, and strong opinions have been acquired about them. There is just something compelling about walking through those aisles of produce.

Still, it is understandable that there are some people who do not find grocery shopping to be an enjoyable experience. Perhaps they are too busy with kids or work, or they find such busy public places overwhelming or impossible to navigate. For these reasons or more, we have to be thankful that we live in the age of online grocery delivery. It is nice to have an option between the two, though.

  • This is not what one man seemed to think when he took to X to state that he thought everybody should be getting their groceries delivered to save time, therefore enabling them to work more. It is fair to say that this opinion was not received as a savvy life hack by the majority, with many protesting that even if it was more inconvenient, there were positives to be had from going to the store. On top of that, a person's priorities have to be pretty screwed if they are finding small ways to save time just so they can grind more.
