Starbucks barista gets handed a kitten through the drive-through window, instantly falls in love with it and takes home the sweetest order of the day
Happy morning, everyone! Another week has finally come to an end, and we don't know about all of you, but we were very much ready for it to be over. It's time to rest, it's time to chill, it's time to enjoy the colder weather with our cats. This is when the week actually starts for us, when we finally get some time to do the things that we love. And the thing that we absolutely have to start with is our weekly meowgazine, because we simply have to catch up on all the cat content that we missed throughout the week right now.

Pawrents adopt a shy 5-year-old and a year later are still trying to build trust and find what will make her feel at home
These pawrents brought home a shy five-year-old and are doing everything to make her comfortable. At night she's brave, exploring, balcony watching, batting toys, checking for snacks. When the house is calm, curiosity shows. During the day, confidence shrinks. She retreats to safe spots, listens to every sound, and only peeks out when the room goes still. Tuna helps most of the time, but one small movement and she's gone again.

A vet tech's profound discovery of her own missing cat, found neglected and trapped by a neighbor who tried to put her down her, proving that destiny can bring a pet home
This story tells the tale of a vet tech who lost her cat earlier in the week, yet seeing as it was not totally uncommon for her cat child to go off on multi-day adventures the vet tech was not all too concerned about her cat child being absent. That is until an older lady came in for a scheduled euthanasia appointment for a cat that she claimed was sick and had been hiding under her porch for days on end. We will stop there to avoid letting any spoilers slip, but we think you can imagine what might be coming next and yes, it is the wildest version that your imagination can conjure up.

Person going through a rough time gets an unexpected helping paw from their concerned senior cat who refuses to leave them alone all night
There are still a lot of people out there who truly believe that cats don't have feelings. That cats don't care about us. That cats only tolerate us because we bring them food. But that is so not true. We, as actual cat owners, who have lived with cats for many years, know that cats love their humans so much, more than we ever expect them to. And something that we have learned over the years - the same thing that the person in today's story learned - is that even cats that are "unaffectionate" on a day-to-day basis, are always there for us when we need them the most.

Cat lover picks the crustiest, oldest cat in the shelter, giving a 16-year-old rescue a new zest for life
Shelters go through an insane number of kittens every year, with kitties flying off the shelves and leaving nothing but milk bottles and shredded feather dusters in their wake. However, some shelter cats don't get selected by prospective families, and those are the seniors. Old, crusty, and forgotten, senior cats rarely get a second glance from the perusers at the animal shelter.

Overweight cat brings stray and injured kittens home so he can eat kitten food, unintentionally rescuing them in the meantime
It's not easy being a fat cat on a diet, just ask Gimley! This big boy has been put on a diet. For a cat, this is basically torture. He likes to eat, so sue him! Unfortunately, he has no say in the matter… Or does he? Turns out this guy is a smart one! Instead of trying to sneak into the cat food or go to the neighbors for extra treats, he has found a better technique that seems to make everyone happy! He has realized when he brings home a kitten with him, he then gets to get the delicious kitten food!
