What do I know about being happy? Well, I may not be an expert on the science behind the brain connections, the serotonin influx, or the emotional triggers of true happiness, but I have eaten a fresh corndog at a county fair, jumped into the ocean from a rocky ravine, and crowd-surfed at my favorite band's live show. Maybe that comes close to the experience of true euphoria.
As elusive as happiness is, oftentimes, even in the presence of greatness, unhappy folks fail to recognize the happy moments. Usually hidden in the subtleties of existence, like when our coffee is made just right or when our gas tank is already full the morning of a road trip, happiness can be found all around us. You don't need to be an expert to learn to identify it, either, because in a way, we've all felt a twinge of the yellow sunrise glowing in our chest, and we've heard the innocent laugh of a joyous baby.
Life is full of happy moments; you just have to know where to look.
