Mother refuses to pick up ex's 8-year-old daughter with another woman while she's picking up her son, the daughter is left waiting at school until 7 pm: 'I didn't sign up for this'
The thing about entitled people is that they'll try to get anything they want out of you, while disregarding any of your needs, wants, or boundaries. In this story, the protagonist is a woman who's divorced. Her ex and her have a son together, and he cheated and married the affair partner, and they also have a daughter the same age. Their divorce ended on a bad note, as anyone could imagine in the aftermath of infidelity. One day, she gets a call from her child's school telling her he's still there waiting for a pickup. She arrives to get him, and is then told that his stepsister is there as well, and that she's been written down as a designated person to pick her up from school as well.
The woman is flabbergasted and tells them she doesn't want to be involved, and that she's not driving the girl home. She admits, that the girl is just a child, and that it isn't fair. But she has her boundaries.
