27-year-old bride refuses to let 25-year-old pregnant sister turn her wedding reception into a gender reveal party: 'The wedding is about my fiancé and me, not [your] baby'

No one understands how to get underneath someone else's skin better than their sibling.

In this instance, we have a 27-year-old bride-to-be, who was in the midst of planning a complicated wedding when her younger sister asked her a ridiculous question that would ultimately spark a wildly unnecessary family feud.

This younger sister, who was 26 at the time, was five months pregnant and wanted to have a few minutes during the wedding reception to announce the baby's gender. Somehow, she managed to convince the mother of these two siblings that this was a good idea, since every important family member will already be in attendance.

The problem is that nobody had even considered the fact that this idea would essentially be hijacking the author's special day to make the entire night about the younger sister's unborn kid. 

What's even more ridiculous is that when the author attempted to spell this out for the younger sister in an attempt to demonstrate why this was a terrible and insensitive plan, the sister doubled down. She even had the audacity to complain that the author was making everything about herself!
